Abstract
Abstract: For B. Duhm the studies of the prophet Isaiah have been consistent, as can be
seen in the 20th century until the present. This observation is reflected in the various
positions of the exegetes. This article seeks to weigh these trends and research along
this line but specific interest is focused on the exegetical status of the Third Isaiah .
Many authors have focused primarily on Isaiah 1-39, and 40-55, the First and Second
Isaiah respectively, setting aside the Third Isaiah. Therfore, this article aims to provide
an overview on the Third Isaiah with reference or in connection to the present
and the evaluation of the exegetes.
