Las Tradiciones sobre el Arca en los Libros de Samuel (1 Sam 4-6; 2 Sam 6)

Las tradiciones sobre el arca en los libros de Samuel se concentran en 1 Sam 4-6, y 2 Sam 6. El narrador las ofrece ya sistematizadas y colocadas en el ámbito de las tribus del norte, y en la entronización del rey David en Jerusalén respectivamente. Pero en una observación más atenta se descubre que el arca, símbolo de la presencia divina en medio de su pueblo en la franja pre-monárquica hasta su asentamiento definitivo en la ciudad santa, ha sufrido una serie de contratiempos e imprevistos, que confieren a este itinerario un aire de enfrentamientos entre los hebreos y filisteos que retratan las vivencias religiosas ante Dios en esta franja.
Simultáneamente el narrador ha sabido entrelazar las tradiciones locales con las líneas maestras de la redacción los libros de Samuel, logrando que relatos autónomos formen una secuencia literaria y teológica. Esta proporciona una óptica enriquecedora, donde se aprecia la variedad de facetas teológicas que han sido superpuestas por el redactor final, sin oscurecer sus informaciones originarias.
