Abstract
Abstract: The latest publications on the theology of consecrated life converge on some fundamental lines of reflection. First and foremost, they recognise ecclesiology as the domain of theological reflection on consecrated life. Secondly, the ecclesiology of communion is proposed as the synthetic key from which to think about the different ministries, offices and states of life in their intrinsic reciprocal relations. In this context it is fundamental to develop a theology of consecrated life deeply rooted in Christian initiation, from which its specific character can be considered. The third constant is the identification of the trinomial: consecration, communion and mission, as a structure of the description of the identity of the consecrated life.
