Abstract
El lector puede encontrar a Teresa de Jesús en sus obras, en sus libros autobiográficos y místicos y en su poesía. Pero otro modo de revivir a la escritora es conocer su vida, su formación y sus incansables actividades de monja emprendedora y andariega, de mujer única en una España no siempre favorable a aventuras innovadoras y menos promovidas por una mujer. De los obstáculos que logró superar y de su triunfo frente a los apocados, los incrédulos y los engreídos tratan estas páginas, que descubren cómo Teresa de Jesús se engrandece cuando conocemos con detalle todos los acontecimientos vitales que justifican que su obra alcance las más altas cotas de significación espiritual y literaria.
Abstract: A reader can encounter St. Teresa of Jesus in her works, in her autobiographies, her mystical books, and her poetry. However, another way to encounter the writer is to know her life, her training and her tireless entrepreneurial activities as a nun, her travels, considering that in Spain during that time women traveling for innovative adventures was not looked at favorably. From the obstacles that she had overcome and her triumph over the faint-hearted, unbelievers and conceited, we discover the greatness of Teresa of Jesus when we know/read in detail all the vital events surrounding/justifying her work that reaches the highest level of spiritual and literary significance.
