Abstract
La expansión del cristianismo durante los primeros siglos de nuestra era está atestiguada por las referencias procedentes de las obras de los autores antiguos y por otros datos conservados. En el caso del Norte de África, además, una valiosa información viene proporcionada por las actas de los mártires. Este artículo muestra los casos de cristianos que fueron condenados por causa de su fe y sufrieron martirio en esta región en época del Imperio romano, analizando los documentos existentes para señalar aquellos considerados más valiosos por los estudiosos y extraer la información
que contienen. Ello contribuirá a ofrecer un panorama más completo sobre el desarrollo de la religión en esta zona en la Antigüedad.
Abstract: The expansion of Christianity during the first centuries of our era is attested by references from the works of the ancient writers and by other preserved data. In the case of North Africa, valuable information is provided by the Acts of the Martyrs. This paper shows the cases of Christians who were condemned because of their faith and who suffered martyrdom in this area in the time of the Roman Empire, analyzing
the documents that exist on these facts to single out those that are considered to be the most valuable by scholars and to extract the relevant information. This will contribute to providing an overview of the development of the religion in this territory in Antiquity.
