Care of Creation and Integral Education of Young People in High Schools. A methodological proposal in the light of integral ecology and sustainability
Main Article Content
Abstract
The core of this work lies in the design proposal for an educational pathway on integral ecology and sustainability that, through an integrated and innovative approach, prepares high school students to face complex challenges and to actively contribute to building a sustainable society. The guiding thread of the entire course is the values and ethical principles of integral ecology and sustainability; they form the backbone and flow into a specially structured teaching module to enable learners to develop emotional intelligence and mature a specific ecological competence: empathy and a change of perspective, helping them to develop self-awareness and awareness of others, ecological virtues and love for the common home.
