Anthropology and care of creation in the Canticle of the creatures of Saint Francis
Main Article Content
Abstract
Nineteen years after stripping himself of all his possessions, including his own clothes, and handing them over to his father Bernardone in front of the Bishop of Assisi, Francis composed the Canticle of the Creatures in the monastery of San Damiano.
A brief analysis of his time and a theological approach help us to discover the beauty and depth of both the Canticle of the Creatures and its author, Saint Francis of Assisi, who helps us to respond to the change of era in which we live with his deep love for God, for the whole creation and for the Church, which are, without a doubt, his dwelling and his home, and with all men together with the creatures, his siblings.
