Experiencia, especie y luz sesgada: Roger Bacon.
Main Article Content
Abstract
Abstract: An outline of the verifying value which experience proves in Roger Bacon’s view, with the sanction of common reasons of error in human opinions, paves the way for the analysis of the multiplication of species in an optical key, polishing a qualitative prediction of the behaviour of a light beam passing through two consecutive means of propagation of different nature. The model combines a principle of minimum (Aristotelian inspiration), dominant for the propagation in favour of gradient of intensity (“resistance”), and a precept of uniformity, privileged in the
opposing progression. The premature wavy pattern of causality conceived, under the influence of Grosseteste, by a curious spirit, misunderstood by his age.
