Abstract
La novela 1984, de George Orwell, propone un mundo posible -un futuro distópico- que ha suscitado reflexiones extraliterarias en torno a diversos ámbitos del saber. Su recepción en las últimas décadas provoca análisis desconcertantes, pero una aproximación poética revela que la idea controladora de la obra establece una relación directamente proporcional entre la calidad de los vínculos familiares del protagonista y el desarrollo de su ethos (carácter). El objetivo de este artículo es analizar la mutación de la institución familiar en la obra y sus consecuencias para la humanidad de los personajes. Desde un planteamiento estético-hermenéutico, que incorpora la teoría ficcional de los mundos posibles, analizamos el cambio en las vigencias familiares diseñado por el Partido. Esta aproximación revela el rol fundamental que la familia, especialmente la figura del padre y la relación conyugal, juegan en orden al desarrollo de la humanidad del protagonista.
Abstract: The novel 1984, by George Orwell, proposes a possible world -a dystopian future- that has provoked extraliterary reflections on various fields of study. Its reception in recent decades throws disconcerting analyzes. A poetic approach reveals that the controlling-idea of ??the satire suggests a directly proportional relationship between the quality of the family links of the protagonist and the development of his ethos. The aim of this article is to analyze the mutation of the family institution and its consequences for the humanity of the characters. From a hermeneutic approach, which incorporates the Fiction Theory about the Possible Worlds, we analyze the change in the family model designed by the Party. This approach reveals the fundamental role that the family, especially the figure of the father and the conjugal relationship, play in order to the development of the protagonist's humanity.
