Abstract
El objeto de este artículo es estudiar las concepciones sobre el poder temporal hacia finales de la Antigüedad que relacionaban la autoridad despótica del tirano con la presencia del Demonio como inspirador o como monarca mismo. Se toma en cuenta de manera particular los casos del mago Cipriano y del emperador Justiniano.
Abstract: The aim of this article is to study conceptions of temporal power towards the end of Antiquity that associated the tyrant’s despotic authority with the presence of the Devil, either as a source of inspiration or as a monarch himself. Particular attention is paid to the cases of the magician Cyprian and the Emperor Justinian.
