El Futuro de la teología, teología del futuro: diagnóstico y pronóstico The future of theology, theology of the future: a diagnosis and a prognosis
Main Article Content
Abstract
Abstract: A rather pessimistic perception of the current situation that afflicts theology invites us to reflect on the reasons for its loss of relevance, as a precondition for elucidating possible future strategies. It is proposed, in a second moment, to assume a more fallibilist attitude and open to correction; an empirical and interdisciplinary orientation; and to assume a more evolutionary stance. Finally, big challenges need to be addressed for a theology with some future: that it contributes to curb the secularizing tide; that it might accompanie the spiritual search; that it might suit in the scientific mentality; and that it recovers its veritative and normative capacity within the Church. Any proposal for the future must start from a review of the limitations observed at the present time.
