Abstract
The main representative of Indigenous Theology in Mexico, Eleazar López Hernández, in interview, refers to the main challenges of these theologies today: to continue educating actors in order to dislearn Western thought in Latin America, particularly through biblical and lithurgical translation. Relationship between emancipatory, liberation & feminist theologies is made visible, pointing out the role of indigenous women theologians. The need for inter-religious labour is emphasized. Inculturation is explained in a twofold way: biblical imaginary appropriation by originary cultures as well as the contribution their particular theologies to Western corpus, being Nican Mopohua, the example given.
