Abstract
The traditions about the ark in the Books of Samuel are join definitively in 1 Sam 4-6, and 2 Sam 6. The final view show these systematized and placed in the area of tribes of northern, and when the King David take possession of Jerusalem respectively.
But one attentive look discover in the Ark, symbol of divine presence between his people during the pre-monarchy time, that has suffer a sequence of adversities and unsuccessful, which give at this itinerary a pattern of confront between Hebrews and Philistines, which report the religious experiences in this period.
Simultaneously, the compiler or editor has able to interweave the local traditions with the crossing lines of final redaction of these Books of Samuel, getting that autonomous tales former a literary and theological sequence. This furnish a rich view, where is possible valued the variety of theological dimensions, which had been superposed in the final work, without obscure the originals dates.
