Places of worship as an educational experience (I): Pedagogical basis. The Basilica of the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, a paradigmatic example.

Abstract
This article presents the pedagogical richness of religious places of worship, with special reference to the magnificent paradigmatic example of the Basílica of the Sagrada Família in Barcelona. The main purpose is to show the need to recover and update the use of holy places as current educational spaces, given that this is a pedagogical urgency, for the benefits and didactic richness that these same spaces offer to us, as well as for the reality that nowadays these spaces are given from the pedagogical perspective. This thesis is established, in a first article, from a pedagogical basis, giving way to two more articles that will address the architectural and theological perspectives, which support that places of worship are extraordinary and unique spaces to generate and develop authentic educational experiences full of meaning and opportunities for education in the 21st century.
