Tecla de Iconio. Liderazgo de las mujeres en el Cristianismo primitivo Tecla from Iconio: Women Leadership in the Primitive Christianism
Main Article Content
Abstract
On this monograph, I try to show the women leadership in the first centuries of the Christianism spread (II-IVth century) and in the Capadocia (Asia Minor), taking as a reference point the figure of Tecla from Iconio, who is an exemplary paradigm on the diffusion of gospel and its inseparable commitment with social work on this crucial stage of the Christianism, acknowledged at the Oriental church as well as at the Occidental one. I take as a source of study the book “Life and wonders of Saint Tecla”, mainly, to show the genuine identity of Tecla from Iconio: apostle, disciple, martyr, teacher, evangelist, founder and saint.
