Resumen

En los últimos años estamos asistiendo a un florecer de los estudios sobre el “buen vivir” o la “vida feliz” (human flourishing) que recupera hoy muchas preguntas e inquietudes que desde antiguo perseguían filósofos como Aristóteles o Demócrito o Zenón. El naciente cristianismo, en el contexto del judaísmo de finales del segundo templo, ofrece una aportación genuina y radical basada en la enseñanza y en la vida de Jesús de Nazaret. Su memoria, recogida en diversos textos del siglo I d.C., presenta la propuesta de una vida “bienaventurada” y “próxima”, paradójica e innovadora. En este artículo se indaga cómo las bienaventuranzas y la parábola del buen samaritano contribuyeron a la concepción moderna de una vida feliz.
