Abstract
En estudios anteriores sobre el traslado de la Diócesis de Cartagena a Murcia en ninguno quedan claro los motivos y, sobre todo, las circunstancias de un hecho tan trascendental, motivo de reivindicación histórica de la ciudad de Cartagena, que acusa a Murcia de usurparle la sede episcopal. Con este trabajo pretendemos aclarar algo más el tema del traslado introduciendo una variable hasta ahora ignorada, la política del concejo de Murcia en estos años como uno de los actores esenciales del proceso y la actuación de Bonamic como embajador. Trataremos primero el controvertido
documento del traslado de la diócesis, para exponer después las relaciones del concejo de Murcia con Alfonso X y con Sancho IV, a continuación una breve reseña de los primeros obispos y su relación con el traslado de la diócesis y, finalmente la actuación del escribano Bonamic.
Abstract: In previous studies on the transfer of the Diocese of Cartagena to Murcia, the motives for such transfer were not clear. Above all, the circumstances of the events leading to it were very significant; the reason of historical claim of the city of Cartagena, and Murcia was accused of usurping the Episcopalian See. This paper, clarifies the issue of the transfer introducing a variable, which was then not considered. The political council of Murcia during that time was one of the key players in the process as well as the performance of Bonamic as ambassador. The paper treats first the contested document about the transfer of the diocese; second it describes the relationship of the council of Murcia with Alfonso X and Sancho IV; third, it presents a brief overview of the first bishops and their role in the transfer of the diocese and finally, the role of Bonamic as notary
