Abstract
Recordamos el VIII Centenario del encuentro entre Francisco de Asís y el sultán Melek al-Kamel. Con esta ocasión, el papa Francisco ha viajado a El Cairo (Egipto), Abu Dabi (Emiratos Árabes Unidos) y Rabat (Marruecos). Ha pronunciado tres discursos y firmado un Documento sobre la Fraternidad Humana para tender puentes de entendimiento y colaboración entre cristianos y musulmanes con el fin de promover la paz entre las culturas. Los temas tratados han sido: la violencia; la dignidad del ser humano, la familia y la educación; el diálogo, la justicia y fraternidad, y el valor de la religión para alcanzar la paz entre los pueblos.
Abstract: We recall the 800th Anniversary of the Encounter between St. Francis of Assisi and Sultan Al-Malik Al-K?mil. On this occasion, Pope Francis has travelled to Cairo (Egypt), Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates), and Rabat (Morocco). He has delivered three speeches and has signed the Document on Human Fraternity to build bridges of understanding and collaboration among Christians and Muslims for advancing peace among the cultures. The topics dealt with have been as followed: violence; human dignity, family and education; dialogue, justice, and fraternity, and the value of religion to achieve peace among its people.
